TERMS AND CONDITIONS

LIMITED LIFETIME COVERAGE: This Limited Warranty extends only to a purchaser of Allmet stone-coated steel Continental, Shadowline, Wood Shake, Talavera, Ridgewood, Tudor Slate, Guardian Shingle or Granite Ridge Shingle panels (“Allmet Product”) who has been issued a Limited Warranty Certificate and paid for the Allmet Product in full (the “Purchaser”), and to subsequent owners of the property to which the Allmet Product is originally affixed after purchase (the “Property”). Subject to the terms, conditions and limitations herein, Allmet hereby warrants that for the lifetime of Purchaser during Purchaser’s ownership of the Property or, if the Property is transferred by Purchaser, for fifty (50) years from the date of installation of the Allmet Products, the Allmet Products will be free from manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials such that:

1 Each Allmet Product (meaning each individual Allmet panel) will withstand winds of up to 120 miles per hour;

2 Steel substrate on Allmet Products will not burn, and will not be penetrated by hailstones less than two and one-half inches (2.5”) in diameter such that the Allmet Products are no longer weatherproof; and

3 The appearance of the surface coating of Allmet Products will not materially deteriorate beyond normal weathering and aging, including minor granule loss over the extended life of the warranty.

EXCLUSIVE REMEDY: In the event any Allmet Product fails to meet the above standards, Allmet will either provide repairs to the Allmet Product, or will provide replacement products, at Allmet’s option and at its sole discretion. Allmet reserves the right to require you to pay its reasonable costs and expenses incurred in performing any physical inspection of Allmet Products that are subject to a warranty claim, although any such payment will be refunded in the event of a valid warranty claim. Any repair or replacement by Allmet shall not extend the term of this warranty except as required by law or as agreed in writing by Allmet. This is the sole and exclusive remedy under this Limited Warranty, and in no event shall Allmet have any liability for any consequential, incidental, economic, indirect, special, or punitive damages or losses of any kind whatsoever. (Advisory: some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages).

REGISTRATION AND TRANSFER: After it has been registered by Purchaser, this Limited Warranty automatically transfers to a subsequent owner of the

Property, and you do not have to notify or contact us in order to transfer this warranty protection. This is a valuable provision of your Limited Warranty and enhances the value of your Property. We encourage you to keep this Limited Warranty with your permanent records in a safe place, along with your Warranty Certificate and/or Confirmation of Change, Warranty Request Card and all records relating to payment and installation.

NO OTHER WARRANTIES: This Limited Warranty is the only warranty given by Allmet, and no other warranties of any kind have been made with respect to the Allmet Products. (Advisory: some laws do not allow limitations on certain implied warranties). This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.

CLAIMS PROCEDURE: If you experience a problem with an Allmet Product that you believe is covered by this Limited Warranty, please contact us promptly via phone at (800) 265-9357, or via e-mail to warranty@allmet.com and provide us with your name, address, telephone number, your warranty certificate number, and a specific detailed description of the defect or problem, as well as any other information or materials you believe is relevant. You may be required to provide additional information or materials at the request of Allmet, including photographs. As a condition of coverage under this Limited Warranty, you must notify us of any problem or defect within thirty (30) days after you discover or reasonably should have discovered it.

OTHER TERMS, CONDITIONS, DISCLOSURES AND LIMITATIONS:

1. While we expressly warrant that the Allmet Products are free from manufacturing defects as set forth above, the performance of your Allmet Product is largely dependent on the manner in which it is installed and cared for. Consequently, this Limited Warranty shall not apply to any of the following circumstances:

2. Damage caused by improper installation, or the installer’s failure to follow Allmet’s installation standards and instructions, or reasonable professional installation procedures. We recommend that you ask your installer or contractor about warranties covering installation, as does not in any way warrant or guarantee such services. We recommend that you have roofing products installed by a professional who has attended manufacturer training courses, although such training is neither required for this warranty nor a guarantee of proper installation. Allmet profiles requiring battens should always be installed by qualified experienced roofing professionals.

3. Allmet Products that have been damaged, modified, altered or changed in design or function after shipping from Allmet’s facility, or used or installed for a purpose other than roofing.

4. Damage or change in appearance caused by any of the following: foot traffic or foreign objects, climate-specific conditions (such as mold or mildew from moisture or humidity), the application of cleaning fluids, coatings or chemicals not specifically approved and authorized by Allmet, or the failure or movement of the structure of the Property on which the Allmet Products are installed.

5. Dealers, distributors and installers of Allmet Products are independent contractors and not agents of Allmet for any purpose, and are not authorized to extend other warranties on behalf of Allmet, or to modify the terms of this Limited Warranty in any manner.

6. This Limited Warranty shall be void in the event of repairs or modifications made by any person to the Allmet Products that are not first approved in writing by Allmet, except necessary temporary emergency repairs.

7. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall nevertheless continue in full force and effect.
